Saturday August 1st, The Tesla Club WI is hosting an event at the new Tesla Service Center at 12100 W. Silver Spring Drive in Milwaukee.
Officially, the event is from 11 to 1. After parties and extended get-together opportunities will be discussed at the event itself. There will be Tesla folks there, plus club leaders and sponsors. We're expecting over 130 people based on RSVP's received thus far. Registration is still open, so if you've not signed up yet, please do. You are absolutely encouraged to bring guests. If you are bringing guests, please let the club know so we can get a somewhat accurate count so we can plan for food.
Tesla owners and enthusiasts that are not Tesla Club WI members are welcome at this event! It's going to be THE biggest event of the year.
The Tesla Club WI has pulled out all the stops and here's what to expect:
Safety is 1st and foremost!!!
Weather forecast is for a partly cloudy day with highs around 81. PERFECT!! This is an outdoor event. We could not have asked for better outdoor weather.
Masks are mandatory. Please don't fight us on this.
Social Distancing is mandatory. Let's all be the group that proves a safe outdoor socially distanced, masked, coordinated event IS possible.
There will be bathrooms available for obvious bathroom needs including handwashing, plus hand sanitizer will be available throughout the event.
Due to the heightened need for health safety, access into the Service Center will be limited. If you've already been there for service or other visits, and don't need to see the inside again on Saturday, please stay outside.
FOOD! Yes...there's food.
The Bosch Tavern and Restaurant is catering the event. We rented a huge tent for food service, and the Bosch is doing their thing with safety first and foremost. Lunches will be individually boxed. We'll be enjoying BBQ Brisket sandwiches, potato salad, BBQ beans, and assorted other goodies in a very controlled and sanitary restaurant way. They are also bringing a keg of tap root beer and will be making fresh hand squeezed lemonade on site.
For Tesla Club WI Founder members, your lunch is FREE!
For Tesla Club WI Owner level members, your lunch is $10
For everyone and guests - an individual lunch is $15.
Chris Knight - an epic photographer, will be there, as the official event photographer with camera and drone. If you have not checked out his work on social media (FB, Instagram), it is worth the look and time.
We will be doing cool raffle prizes. When you arrive - please register at the Tesla Club tent to be entered. Thanks to Lisa for ensuring we will have a touch-free raffle experience.
You will be able to join the Tesla Club WI at this event if interested. If you are not yet a member, please consider joining and supporting our efforts in the state.
Caravaning is encouraged. If there's a traffic jam on the way in, please follow the parking team's instructions to help prevent bad situations on Silver Spring. Please note - if you're exiting 41/45 at Silver Spring, the Tesla Service Center is 2 blocks west. And you'll be making a left turn in to the Service Center, so the potential exists for there to be a backup due to oncoming traffic. Just something to keep in mind.
This is an all-volunteer club. We're all in this together, and this is our first really big event, the biggest Tesla event in the state. Please be patient with us and with Tesla. It's a rag tag army workin' hard for you. If you get there and can lend a hand, we'd love the extra help.
Finally, we encourage making your cars clean and shiny, there is going to be a REAL photographer present!!
And Founder members, don’t forget to bring your steins. Everybody else, wear your cool Tesla clothing, pins, badges and lanyards!
